Find Your Own Creative Voice
Every artist and every group has something of their own to say. Sometimes, all it takes is the right space, time and guidance to discover what that is.
Through “Your Own Voice”, Heraklion Improv Theater creates a space for artistic exploration and development, open to both individuals and theater groups – improv or otherwise – who want to develop their work, discover what truly speaks to them, and create something unique, personal and honest. We welcome people from different backgrounds, identities and life experiences, and aim to create space for voices that may be underrepresented in the arts, including those facing barriers related to race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, disability or other aspects of identity and lived experience.
Theater training and artistic exploration never really end. There is always something new to explore, another side of yourself to discover, or a way to take your work one step further.
Together, we can work on what you need:
- Coaching & artistic guidance, tailored to your needs, interests and artistic identity.
- Improvisation and stage presence, for those who want to develop their skills and find greater freedom, energy and aliveness on stage.
- Finding your own voice, helping you discover what makes your work uniquely yours and how you can turn it into something authentic and distinctive.
- Creative development, through a process shaped around your own goals and the things you want to explore.
- Space for rehearsing and creating, for groups looking for a place to work on and develop their projects.
